THE IDEAL BAE ... ?

"My bae has to be 6ft3+, his head needs to touch the sky ... Short babies are a huge NO and I aint taking no risk with these 5ft8 guys before I get midget kids ! I need to NOT be able to reach his shoulders" "5ft7 ? You better 5ft out of my DM's" "A Cadbury chocolate bar skinned bae please .... Edible chocolate skin, hazel eyes ONLY" "He can only get my number if he has a car ... oyster ? what's an oyster ?"

And so on and so on !
Now, I know a lot of us have preferences which may be as deep as the examples I've given about (Don't be ashamed if you are one of the people who have preferences like those ... I sure was one of them!) But don't you kind of find it funny how we all have our own perceptions of what our "Ideal Bae" must look like, smell like, sound like and most importantly be like. And the sad truth is that it is VERY UNLIKELY we will find someone who reaches our preferences exactly. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to have preferences because hey ! we are only human at the end of the day, but the idea I'm trying to express here is that you SHOULDN'T ALLOW PREFERNCES to be your DOWNFALL when it comes to relationships.

It is very easy to allow your preferences of what your ideal "bae" must look and be like distract you from good catches that are right in front of you ! . If you have managed to scoop a boy or girl who matches your "ideal bae" idea, then good on ya ! But what about those who haven't managed to ?

When it comes to preferences, we can easily be blinded by good things which are staring right at us ! And that sadly is a normal thing, however how do we make that UN-NORMAL ?

Well firstly boooothanggg, understand that the "perfect boy" or "perfect girl" will not fly from the sky and meet you. But do understand that a decent boy or girl who may only tick your 4/10 boxes of your "IDEAL BAE" may actually end up becoming your "Ideal bae". I've been in a situation where I found someone who ticked 8/10 boxes on my ideal bae list. He was tall, Nigerian, Good looking, had money and most importantly he drove ! Girllllll, when I tell you this boy lacked PERSONALITY. I'm not even joking. As innnnn, I was texting myself because the convo was so dry. And it got me thinking ... this is a boy who was my "Ideal Bae" and the second he finally became bae, I realised that my "ideal bae" was not for me. He ticked my boxes but the relationship was a failure.

It had Me thinking, if my idea of perfection was him, why was I not in a flourishing relationship like I had HOPED FOR .. if he was so "perfect". And to be honest that's when it clicked ... Preferences will only be preferences, I could get all my preferences in a boy, and still NOT be happy. And yes, we all want our boxes ticked, but it is not everything that we WANT that we GET. I got WHAT I wanted in a boy, but did I GET Happiness ? Psh, far from. (sorry if your reading this ex ... Lol, this is a BIT DEEP ... your still a nice guy, just not right for me)

Don't allow yourself to turn down pretty decent and possible matches because you want a "6ft4" guy and the boy that is talking to you is "5ft7". Things could still pop off and you don't want to FINALLY get your preferences ticked only to find out your idea of an "IDEAL BAE" turns out to be everything you don't want in a boy/girl.

Understand that bae's will ALWAYS be about, you may not have found bae in 2014 ... and may be hoping to find bae in 2015. (IJN you will ! ) But maybe you already met your bae but allowed your preferences to turn that someone away.
Love always comes around and so does relationships. So my sairassecret tip for you ? Don't allow PREFERNCES for an "Ideal Bae" to be your downfall. When bae comes, you will know it and strong preferences like the ones above will not matter. Do not allow your preferences to take over who you are ... "Ideal Bae's" Don't exist ... but when you meet someone who makes you happy and you know you can be with ? *Ding Ding* There's Bae !

Hope you enjoyed the read guys, Have a lovely Christmas and New Year !
 I'll speak to you soon.

"The bible encourages Alcohol"

Hey guysss, today we are going to be talking about ALCOHOL ! Or as my Nigerian mother calls it "Hot drink" Lool. The bible talks about alcohol a lot, and some people may even be led to the conclusion that the bible encourages alcohol ... I slightly want to just confirm this a little bit. So sit back, get a cuppa, with 2 sugars and not that much milk (mmmm my fave) and enjoy the post !

Now the term "Hot Drink" which is what I am going to be referring to as "wine" in this post is mentioned a lot throughout the Bible. Leviticus 10:9 says "You and your sons are not to drink wine whenever you do into the tent of the meeting or you will die, this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come" Now this passage was taken from the OLD testament, and I'm not sure what type of Christian you are, but me personally ... I believe the New Testament was brought about to abolish the Old Testament rules, no I'm not saying that The 10 Commandments shouldn't be obeyed, I'm saying that there are some scriptures that I believe Jesus came to renew and Leviticus 10:9 is one of them :)  Don't you think it's interesting to note that the first public miracle that Jesus performed was the turning of water to wine at the great wedding feast in Cana ? (You can read this is John 2) Therefore alcohol is a good thing, because that was the first miracle he performed. Even in regards to the last supper when Jesus took a cup of wine and gave it to his disciples.  Matthew 26:27 "He took the cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it"
So if Jesus is performing miracles and turning water into wine then HEAVEN YEAH
(Instead of Hell ... get the joke ? No ? Alright Let me just continue with this post)
WE FINNA GET DRUNKKKK BOO BOOO ! TURN UPPP TURNN UPPP !

HOWEVER, just because the bible "may encourage alcohol" does NOT mean that it encourages being DRUNK. Let us make that veryyyyyyyyyy clear, okay ? :) Lool there's a difference between drinking alcohol and getting drunk off alcohol.

The bible in no way or form condones drinking to the point of drunkenness. Proverbs 20:1 says "Wine is a mocker and a beer brawler, whoever is led astray by them is not wise" So yes, the Bible does not stop you from drinking a little alcohol, but do not be over-indulged in it. The point I am trying to make here is that, yes, alcohol can have you feeling on top the world and can allow you to have a fun time. (Not that I would know through experience or anything ... ) But you can have a fun time without being DRUNK. You can still turn up the same way you usually do, but don't allow the idea of "I need to be drunk to have fun" to become part of you .. because that isn't the case.

It's very easy to fall into the trap of drinking to get drunk."Ayyy Saira, my friends having a drink up, you rolling ?" "No Bottle No Entry" And so on and so on, I'm not condemning any of you that drink .. because we've all been in different situations, even myself. However I just want to let you know that just because you drink doesn't mean you're a bad Christian.

The Bible DOES allow Christians to partake of alcohol in a very responsible way, Jesus said nothing wrong with drinking a little wine then and even now. If he saw nothing wrong with it in moderate use, we should see nothing wrong with doing so as well. But do not allow yourself to be in a situation where you are not drinking moderately and are just all over the place. You can STILL have the same amount of fun without being drunk. And if you think you need alcohol to be fun ? Then Damn! You must be extremely boring :(

If you know you are easily influenced to be drunk, just ask and pray to God for deliverance. There's nothing he can't do .. I promise you. I used to be that girl who was under crazy influence, trust me ... It wasn't pretty hearing stories about myself the morning after, and I'll just be like "damn" , how can one be under such influence through a "Hot Drink" ? I prayed to God about it, asked for help ... because I never wanted to be in such a situation again, and God sure did it !  I'm not saying your situation is my situation neither am I saying that you HAVE to pray to God and ask for deliverance. When you are ready ... you are ready. But don't allow yourself to be caught up in a predicament where God forbid, Jesus comes again whilst you are drunk, now that'll be a disaster !

So reflect a bit, if it's prayer pray, if you need to stop going out as much, stay at home on a few weekend nights .. .Do what fits YOU and I pray that the Lord will help you understand when the time for change is before it's too late.
So The answer to my title ? YES the bible does encourage alcohol but NO it does encourage being drunk.

Ephesians 5:18 "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit"

Thank you for reading, hope this helped ?
New post will be out by Friday , God willing.
Have a lovely week :)

"Death made me stronger"

Hello my lovelies , hope everyone Is doing okay ? Great stuff !
Today I'm actually going to be talking about something a little much closer to my heart, which I know can apply to many people. I've titled this blog post "Death made me stronger" and it sure did ! I hope you are encouraged by this message and God Bless you .

Growing up people died around me , however it was people that I never knew directly, so maybe it was my mums cousin that lived abroad or maybe an aunt who I last saw when I was like 10. But it was never someone I could openly say I knew. However on the 5th of November 2011 that all changed. My uncle K passed away, and I can honestly say that was the hardest time not just myself and my family, but also for my spiritual life. The first death to ever strike me fully, as in I just could not comprehend the idea or thoughts of why God would do such a thing, a man who knew and feared God, was my mothers best friend and most importantly my closest uncle. I began to wonder and think  that if God is as big as he says he is ... Why didn't he save the life of my uncle? It's always hard hearing the sudden death of a loved one, especially one which doesn't add up, someone who was fine in the morning, the afternoon ... And suddenly passed away in the evening. I questioned my journey with Christ and almost hit rock bottom. I then began to think about my mum, and if anything she needed me and my sisters more than anything to stay strong, so I prayed to God and although I was still hurt and distraught , I was still trying to give my mum the courage to stay on track and to remember that the plans that God has for us are plans of good and not of evil. (Jeremiah 29:11)

What I want us to understand is that Gods timing is different to our timing. As we see our lives in terms of years, God sees our whole life in less than a day. Why ? Before he formed us in our mothers womb he knew us. He set us apart and appointed us as prophets to the nations (Jeremiah 1:5)
Death is never an easy topic to talk about, if anything it is the scariest. Thinking of who will cry, what your funeral would be like .... All these crazy thoughts. But what I want you to remember is that a soul who has died in Christ is NOT DEAD, but is living eternally with their father, their creator, their lord ETERNALLY in HEAVEN.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son and said those who believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) And I must
honestly say that is one of the he things that kept me going even after the death of my uncle. Because I knew that he left this earth in CHRIST, so there was no need for me to cry or grieve because he has left this earth to be with his creator and that it what I want you to go away with if you are still grieving a loved one who is now in eternal glory. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4)

Life is a journey and will always be, understand that we have a time of death, some earlier than we expected , some quicker than we expected, some that leaves us upset, sad and most importantly depressed. But remember that as long as you have Christ you have nothing to worry about. Pray that the Lord will strengthen you to cope with the loss of a loved one, pray that God will give the family of the loved one strength and also pray that you will see that person again when you get to heaven. That person who has stepped into glory and seen heaven feels no more pain, feels no more hurt but everlasting joy ! If you knew how much they were enjoying heaven , you wouldn't shed a tear ! Blessed are the dead that die in The Lord,  they will rest from their labour and their deeds will follow
them (Revelation 14:13) So keep your head high , stay strong and stay with Christ ! Not only is he the foundation of our lives but through him we receive eternal life , just like your loved one who died in Christ.

The Lord is your strength, hang in there and remember that heaven has gained a new angel.

In loving memory of
Uncle K, Mrs K and Pastor and Pastor Mrs I.

"Let Them TALK"

Hey guys :) I'm getting better at these right, like I'm trying to keep my promise ... seeing as you guys are my inter web buddies ! So today we are going to be talkingggg about a topic close to my heart, lungs and kidneys (good joke or nah ? Nah ? oh alright ... moving on) titled "He said She said" and I hope you are blessed by the message.

So as A Human in general, let's not even talk about being a Christian, let's talk on a basic level, a human level. As a human I know how much people can talk about you maybe a few sly comments like "Did she even iron her clothes?" "I heard that she ...." "I heard that he ...." And this whole repetition of "I heard this and I heard that" seems to drive us coconuts. Sometimes it's as if people will just CONSTANTLY pick on something about your life. Sooooo, imagine being a Christian on top of that, do you know the way your name will just be FLYING out of people's mouths ? My goodness boothannggg ! You don't even want to know !
I am actually living proof of such things. When I first started making blog posts I heard a few sly comments from people saying "What is she doing ?" "Why is she forcing it?" "Does she think she's going to blow?" And at first I was ready to just FLIP ! Like "who do they think they are to talk about what I'm doing to grow in my faith ? Is it them who I am serving ? Watch when I see them and *bleep* -" Let me just stop there before you think I'm aggressive and the bible does say in  " .... let every person be QUICK to hear, SLOW to speak, SLOW to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God" (James 1:19-20)

The point I am basically trying to make here is that the second you give your life to Christ, not only is the devil out to get you (even though he wont because your a child of God boo !) people will also try to get at you for many reasons. Some being that they are weak in their faith and don't want to admit that they want to grow stronger, another reason being that they are just bored with life and another reason that all they like to do is TALK. And as a Christian, you need to just LET THEM TALK and not be shaken by the words of their mouth and even the thoughts of their hearts. If I had let the words of people affect me do you think I will still be blogging? Heaven no ! (instead of Hell ... get it ? Still a bad joke?, ouch tough crowd I got here -_-)  I know why I blog for personal reasons and even if it touches one person I would still continue to blog, 100 people criticizing my posts will not phase me, and you shouldn't be phased by them either !
People will laugh at you, lie to your face and talk talk talk just because you have something that they don't and that is CHRIST. So don't be quick to anger, keep them in prayers constantly and continue to focus on YOUR journey. In my last post I was talking about a "race", the race called life. (Check it out if you haven't ) Whilst you are running, people to your left and right will try to put you off reaching your finish line. DO NOT LOOK LEFT OR RIGHT. Just STAY FOCUSSED boo ! Because whilst you are looking towards your finish line, and focussing on running your own race, they are the ones who are taking THEIR eyes off their OWN race and loose focus. You can keep them in prayers constantly as we are not to wish evil upon our neighbours, whether they know Christ or not they should still be lifted and also helped. As the Bible says in (Romans 15:1-2) it says "We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please our neighbour for his own good, to build him up" so always let "brotherly love continue" (Hebrews 13:1)

As people it is easy to be put off just because of a few comments one may say about us but understand and remember that people DO NOT need to understand your individual journey that God has placed before you. Remember we are all different, you may be at stage 5 someone else at stage 2, that doesn't mean that the are inferior to you because you are stronger in Christ. But to them they can talk all they want about you being at Stage 5 because they ARE NOT IN Stage 5. So how could someone on a different stage understand your stage ?
Don't be thrown off by the words of others, you know the God you're serving and you know what is helping you get closer to him, so Hang tight boothang !
And if you are reading this and you ARE the one doing all the judging and the one who is always talking? "Do not judge or you too WILL BE judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" (Matthew 7:1-2)

"On your mark, get set, go!"

Guyssssssssss, you must forgive me for this late post ... well you don't have to if you don't want to but I'm just trying to still be the friendly bubbly girl that I am you knowwwww :) So here I am, bright and excited with this new post ! Yasss boothangs. Don't worry, I haven't forgot about my big news for the channel ... baby steps y'all ! Bare with me :) Sooooooooo in today's post we are going to be talking about the race called LIFE. Yes, the race we all started from the moment we gave our lives to Christ ... one heck of a race aye ? I pray God will continue get us through. "Amen".
Have a lovely read x

Firstly I want to start off by saying congratulations for even being in this race, there are many people who do not know the importance of this race that they are in. The second you give your life to Christ, the enemies that form and TRY (note that I said 'TRY') to get at you would amaze you, but remember the bible says in 2 Corinthians 20:17 " You will NOT have to fight this battle. Take up your oppositions, stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. Go out and face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be WITH YOU"

Now the reason why I am using 2 Corinthians chapter 20 verse 17 is for 2 reasons.
1) As a child of God, you may want to see your finish line as soon as possible but your race may consist of storms, a hole on the lane, maybe someone comes to paint your lane as you're running making you slow down. Maybe you twist your ankle and your trainers become undone but ALL in ALL, DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED !  Just because all of this may happen doesn't mean you should slow down and give up. Give up where ? You betttterrr continue running !  As our text says in 2 Corinthians 20:17 "Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. Go out and face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be WITH YOU". So hang it tight ! The race is helllaaaaaaa long but he will see us through.

2)The second reason as to why I am using 2 Corinthians 20:17 is because it teaches us that the Lord will ALWAYS be with us. So when you fail a test and feel like crying, God is with you. When you feel like no one cares, no one is around, and you are all alone ... better think again booothangg ! God is there. And as cliche as this may sound , it's so true. There were times in my past where I was just a depressed individual, no-one knew on the outside the problems I was facing but inside, but inside ?, my soul and mind was going through the biggest battle ever ! You know when you just feel like life is just crumbling up on you ? But one night I decided to just pray in my heart for God to intervene, For I knew that in Psalms 20:5 the Bible clearly states "weeping my cometh in the night, but joy cometh in the morning!" And in this race we find ourselves going through so much, and I mean more than we can ever imagine and more than we believe that our body can bare. But the bible strongly urges us to "STAND FIRM" and see the deliverance the Lord will give us ! That means regardless of all that you are facing, you must stand firm and trust that when the Lord takes over, he will surely change mourning into dancing, you sadness to joy and fill your soul with glory ! How great does that sound aye ? :)  Remember the Bible says that "You should GO out and face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you"

So, here was my little post for you sugar muffins, wanted to keep it quick but also allow it to be meaningful. I know I have been so inconsistent, but I'm trying to get better, hopefully that doesn't put you off ... it shouldn't because I know you love me , well you can try to deny it, but I know you do :)

So be ready to get set, and go ! And remember with every run and every situation and every step, the Lord will ALWAYS be with you.

Thanks for reading guys :)
Have a blessed week

Sex before marriage ... let's talk

Hey friendssssssssssss of the interweb , its me again, you missed me ? Course you did, I missed you too booothanggg. So In today's post we are going to be talk about SEX, WOOHOOO. Yes, that's right, The 3 letter word that has lost all forms of meaning in this generation we live in today. Better yet, we're going to talk about sex before marriage... whilst being a Christian ! *audience gasps in shock and waits anxiously for the next scene* My jokes are becoming so cringey ... I LOVE IT ! So sit back, grab a hot Ribena and have a read :)

Personally when it comes to sex before marriage I believe in what the bible says regarding it .. however with a few tweeks. The bible actually has a lot a lot to say about the "s word". However with that being said, the Bible doesn't actually say sex is a bad thing. Why's that ? because God created sex.

So what does the bible say about sex exactly .. like is wrong to have it before marriage ?
Personally I do believe that sex is a sacred, intimate activity which should be done within marriage. The bible does say in Genesis 1 : 27 - 28 "So God created man in his own image [blah blah blahhh] ... God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number"  So yes, SEX IS A GOOD THING, as we need it in order to pro-create and make some more humans yalllllllll.

Sexual immorality is mentioned quite a lot when we enter the new testament. In Mark 7:20-23 Jesus said "It is what comes out of you that makes you unclean. For from the inside, from your heart, come the evil ideas which lead you to do immortal things, FORNICATION,  to rob, kill, commit adultery ...... and do all sorts of evil things - all these evil things come from inside of you and make you unclean"

Now the bible takes into the account sins of sex, remember the story of Sodom and Gomorrah ? They were cities mentioned in Genesis, the New Testament and throughout the Hebrew Bible. These were cities that indulged in immoral acts and served a punishment of undergoing hell fire. Eish ... one place we certainly do not want to go to. When it comes to sex, it is important in my opinion the be sure of who you are having sex with ... SHOUTOUT TO ALL MY VIRGINS THOOO ! I see you Boothangssssss ! Lool, moving on. If you ARE having sex with someone, is it someone you love ? Someone you see yourself having a future with ? Someone who you believe will not destroy your virtue but motivate you to also love christ together ? If the answer is yes ... In my opinion, that's a good thing .. but there is no reason as to why if the answer is 'yes' that the person cannot wait till the both have you are joined as one. However if you are someone who is sleeping around with anyone and everyone when the "temptation" takes over or you start to feel like just being intimate with someone ... yeah that's a  problem. Do not .. I repeat .. DO NOT be promiscuous.

I know of manyyyy Christians who are having sex before marriage, and some of them feel its okay , others feel like they are slowly letting Christ down. And its understandable, but I will tell you today. If you WISH to make a change, grow in Christ and you want to stop having sex with your partner, talk to them , and let them know it's to do with your spiritual life .. If they cannot accept that ? God has someone better in life for you. Once that is mentioned it may  be more easier to resist temptation and also God will see your heart and see how much love you have for him that you are willing to resist the urge to have sex and move closer with him.
Sex may be enjoyable and give you bodily pleasures, but those pleasures are just temporary. Do not allow sex to be a factor and reason as to why you didn't enter the kingdom of God. Pray to him and he will help you resist the urge to WANT it. When you have God you have all the pleasures you need !

You will not wake up one day to sex not existing, and your vagina or penis gone. Lool Theres plenty of time for sex booothangg ! Save it for someone who not only has your heart but also has the heart of Christ dwelling within them. Don't be fooled into giving yourself away to just ANYBODY who doesn't value you. And if you HAVE been promiscuous in the past, people may have judged you, but who says you can't still call on God to help you become better. We cannot rely on our on strength to push through things alone ... Have a talk with God, he's always there and is always listening.
"Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun" - Psalm 37 : 5-6
We may all be different ... but save yourself , your special day is coming and you will enjoy it and multiply !

The Lord is your strength, hang in there !

The NEXT STEP ! (BIG BIG BIG NEWS)

Heyyy guyyssss. Hows exam season going ? Couple more weeks and FREEDOM WILL KNOW YOUR NAME.
But I have some great newssssss guys ! And I'm really excited to share it with you.
So over the past few weeks I've been getting emails from a few people that read my blog. (Thanks by the way guys ... i never expected it to turn out like this) ^.^
Soooo I received a few emails from some people that read my blog (why did I just repeat that ? ) Anyway, some people sent me a few topics that they would like me to discuss in my upcoming posts. Some people then asked me if I've ever considered a youtube channel to talk about my posts. I read it one email, and I was like pshhhh. that's soooo not happening. Then I read it in another email and was like hmmmm is this a sign ?
So I spoke to a few cousins and family members about it, and they were like "well Saira, you know you can talk for days, so why not consider it ?"
I prayed about it, and thought deeply into it and then I was like ..... HEAVEN YEAH ! (Instead of Hell ...get the joke ? No ? Oh kl ...)

SOOOOO *drum rolllll pleaseeeeee* I will be starting a Youtube channnellll in SUMMMERRR! Oh yes, this is a big step. I will be talking about posts, topics, whatever comes to mind and etccc , but this blog will still be open of course, but I think it would  be nice as not everyone has time for reading and sometimes things stick into your head more, when you actually LISTEN to it.

I would like to thank first of all the people who even thought of such an idea for me ! (Cant really post their emails as that's confidential ... but I am very grateful )
God is really doing amazing things and I believe this was part of his wonderful plans.

So I will keep you updated, but I'm planning to start it just after exams, and I hope everything goes to plan.
Only started working on my spiritual journey this year, and I'm very happy with what I have accomplished even though there is still a long way to go.
Thankyou everyone, I'm so excited for this next step and I'm excited for you continue on this journey with me !
New post out next week (as I still have a few exams left) All the best in your remaining exams and the previous ones !

Have a wonderful week.

Exam Stress ? What's that ...

Heyyyyyyy my peoples ! Oh ... so you're not my peoples no more yeah ? I thought we had a friendship going on here ... How could you betray me like that. I don't even want to speak to you anymore, just go away - _-
anddddd scene *curtains close*

My acting's getting better right ? Lool. Welcome back ! Thanks for sticking with me.
In today's post we are going to be talking about Exams and WHY YOU SHOULDN'T STRESS.
Exam week is fast approaching and let's be Fredrick here (instead of Frank ) lool get it ? Okay let me stop now, my jokes are getting quite embarrassing. As a student, especially with such high grades expected from you .. It is very easy to just break down, cry and just let fear take over your heart. As many of you know, me and my friends have a bible study group and in our last meeting we spoke about Faith vs Fear.
You CANNOT have faith that you will pass English, and Maths for example, yet believe that you will fail Psychology. Just as you cannot mix water and oil together that is how Faith and Fear should be viewed.

What's fear to a child of the MOST Living High God ? For the Bible says in 2 Timothy 1 : 7  For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Any ounce of fear in your hear right now, I pray that God will remove it as soon as possible ! Do you know that the small ounce of fear in  your heart can stop God from working in you. He knows your heart desires and has promised to make them come to past.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

He will only work on you when you take a step back and give him your whole heart and that includes your problems, trials, tribulations, sorrows, fear and anything holding you back. The second doubt comes into your hear ( which is not of God ) you ruin the risk of God working for you and no-one wants that aye ?

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Isaiah 43 : 19 -   Behold , I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

We are talking about a God who parted the RED SEA, who allowed David to defeat Goliath with A STONE, and LORD who raised Lazarus from the DEAD. And you think he can't help you with a Psychology exam ? Psh .. Our God is greater than our imagination and can do exceedingly, abundantly and above all things !

So tonight, look in the mirror and be like "Oi fear, you better just move from me, because I am the child of the most living high, and he has called me to be his own. I WILL pass my exams, my future WILL be bright and I WILL rejoice ! "

All the best with your exams everyone, just felt I had to get this out there because it was something I was struggling with previously, and I know I wasn't the only one ! Have faith and not fear ... we serve a living GOD !
Although "Weeping may go on all night, but in the morning there is joy"  Psalm 30:5

Guys guess what ? My King is Alive !

He Has RISEN ! Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Who died for our sins on Calvary ... is what ? Alive!
Hello Everyone, hope you are all enjoying your Easter Sunday ! What a glorious day it is indeed.

Many of us don't understand the full concept of Jesus' death, and I'm here to tell you that it is indeed a very crucial and significant event that happened in the history of Christianity
The definition of Crucifixion - Crucifixion was an ancient method of execution in which the victim's hands and feet were bound and nailed to a cross. It was one of the most horribly painful and disgraceful methods of capital punishment. The word comes from the latin "crucifixio," meaning "fixed to a cross."

Jesus Christ, the central figure of Christianity, died on a Roman cross as recorded in Matthew 27:27-56, Mark 15:21-38, Luke 23:26-49, and John 19:16-37. It wasn't until I watched the Passion of Christ in which I understood and emotionally felt the pain inflicted upon Jesus at the time of his death. He was whipped, lashed, tortured and disgraced .. for you and I. Bearing in mind, Jesus did not directly know that on the 4th of May 1996 , A young girl named Sarah would be born (Using myself as an example by the way Lol, you can input your name and date of birth here _______). He knew that there would be many generations after him, who would have been born into sin due to the first original sin which can be recalled in Genesis chapter 3. When Both Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree, even though they were instructed to not do so by God.

Now let me ask you this quick question. If God spoke to you right NOW , and said he wants you to give up your life for millions of others by being nailed to a cross ... Would you say "Alright God, let's go" or "Hmmm .. think you've got the wrong person God, you can try next door .. "

1 John 3 : 16 - "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us"

Everything about Jesus was Special. His birth, His prophecies, His teachings, His Miracles, His Words, His Presence, His Death and MOST IMPORTANTLY ... HIS RESURRECTION.

The Resurrection of Christ confirms that Jesus is who He claimed to be. The Resurrection proved that Christ was divine. The fact that Jesus died on the cross does not prove in itself He is God. Jesus proved His deity by fulfilling the prophecies of His death and by His return from the grave. "By being raised from the dead [Christ] was proved to the might Son of God" (Romans 1:4

The Resurrection revealed Christ's power over death. "Christ rose from the dead and will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him" (Romans 6:9). The Resurrection secured our victory over death as well and "lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with him in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 2:6).
The Resurrection proved Christ's power to forgive sin. "If Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins" (1 Corinthians 15:17). By rising from the dead, Jesus proved His authority and power to break the bonds of sin and to assure forgiveness and eternal life to all who accept His gift of salvation.
The Resurrection defeated God's enemy. From the moment of his original rebellion until the day of the Cross, the devil fought viciously and cunningly to overthrow the kingdom of God. Satan must have thought he had dealt the final and decisive blow in this war. But this was the devils most serious miscalculation. (Ha-Ha Devil ... in your face !) The Cross was heaven's TRIUMPH ! And when Jesus Christ arose, the power of sin and death was forever shattered. Because of the Resurrection, Christians never need to fear Satan or death again. "And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen." (Romans 16:20)
Jesus' life shows us as believers how great the love that God has for us is. God sent his only begotten son, Jesus. This is because God is the root source of love "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love" (1 John 4:8).
One reason why I am so sure of my faith in Christ is because out of all the others gods and idols on this planet. Jesus Christ is the only one who died and resurrected from his death. How special does that make him ? Even more special. And for him to have given his life just for us .. I think he deserves our all in all. Because he is the reason we are living in freedom today ! Without him, do you think Christianity will even be alive till this day ? We would be getting tortured and beaten because we would not have been saved, and speaking of Jesus would have been an ultimate crime. But God did not allow that to be our portion and that is why "he sent his only begotten son to us, Jesus Christ, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3 : 36).
SO DRY YOUR EYES. HE'S NOT DEAD ! Continue to enjoy your easter Weekend, and pray tonight that Jesus' blood which was shed on Calvary shall not be in vain upon you, your household and your loved ones and that God will give you the spirit of understanding to see the significance in the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
BANK HOLIDAY TOMORROW ... So relaxx, eat , chill , and tell someone about Christ .. it's the best gift you could honestly give them. For the bible says "He that winneth souls is wise." - (Proverbs 11:30)
Thankyou for reading. Have a blessed week.

Festival of Life - MY CUP RUNNETH OVER

Hello Everyone, how are you enjoying your Easter Weekend ?
Hope your not just thinking of the materialistic things ... AHEM (Easter Eggs) But are actually understanding the true meaning behind Easter ! Easter is the oldest Christian holiday and probably the most important day of the Church year. Yesterday (Good Friday) was the day our Lord Jesus was crucified on the cross. You can read the full story of his death in John 19 : 16-30. Although it was yearsss ago, the death of Jesus is the reason why we live in Christ today and in the Lord. Through his death we were cleansed of our inequities and made whole. Yes, at the time of his crucifiction there were tears and sorrow. But Now we can rejoice because we know .. 3 days later he rose from the dead ! How great is our Lord Jesus Christ ? I'll answer that for you .. very GREAT ^.^

Yesterday I was blessed and privileged to go to the RCCG Festival of Live, London Holy Ghost Service, with my GFS girls (God Fearing Sisters) Lool, its a pretty cool name right ? It is a yearly night vigil church event which happens in London, and I am telling you, YOU NEED TO BE AT THE NEXT ONE ! RCCG stands for the Redeemed Christian Church Of God. To see thousands rejoicing in a God that you serve and to part of it .. is just an overwhelming feeling. I don't want to speak to much about it because there's so much to say, so if you DO want to read more about it then google RCCG and everything will be there ... I MEAN EVERYTHING, and may you be blessed as you do this.

So, yesterday's FOL's theme was titled "My Cup Runneth Over". Now don't think of that LITERALLY as a cup running over because to much drink was put into it. But see yourself AS that cup, and God Pouring in blessings, testimonies, success, joy, happiness, peace, fruitfulness and many more glorious things into YOU.
Our father in the Lord , Pastor E.A. Adeboye, gave a sermon. And for as many of you who wasn't there .. I want to briefly share with you what he said, I don't want ANYONE missing out on yesterdays Blessings!  Pastor shared with us many scriptures. He said that God gives us things to richly enjoy. In Psalm 23:5, it says "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows"

What Is On The Table
1) SALVATION - 1 John 1:7
2) HEALING - 1 Pet 2:24
3) FREEDOM - John 8:32 , 36 and John 14:6
4) VICTORY - Revelation 12:11
5) FRUITFULNESS - John 15:5
6) JOY - John 16:25
7) SUCCESS - Phillipians 4:13, 19 and John 14:14

What To Do So Your Cup Runs Over.
Exodus 15:26 - "If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."
Deuteronomy 28:1 - "If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth."
Read from verse 1 - 13 of Deuteronomy 28, verse 13 (one of my favourite in the bible) says- "The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom."

I pray that the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, your future shall be great, he will guide you in all decisions you will make in life and will guide your footsteps. In Jesus Name. Amen !

Pastor also emphasised the importance of praising God WHOLE heartedly and not just HALF heartedly. Praising God should not be lukewarm. We should praise him with all our hearts, you can't be in Christ and still living in sin. You can't praise God with one leg in and one leg out. It's either you are FOR God or AGAINST him.

Psalm 9:1 says -  I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heartI will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 86:12 says  I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.
Psalm 119:2 says  - Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
Psalm 119:34  says - Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Next I will be going on to the 10 prayer points made at FOL. Read them carefully and pray towards them that each and every one of them will not only work for you, but for your household and all of your loved ones.
1) Praise God that you are alive
2) Father, I come to the table you've prepared for me, feed me till I want no more.
3) Father, feed me with overflowing health, victory, success and peace.
4) Father, I lift up the cup of my life to you, fill it to be overflowing with joy.
5) Father, please settle the issue of my enemies your own way.
6) Father, please anoint me with fresh oil tonight.
7) Father, please let me flourish so that I can lend to nations.
8) Father, let my blessings overflow to millions of others.
9) Father, make me an agent of revival in this generation.
10) Father, put a new song in my mouth tonight.

FOL was amazeballlsssssssss !
I hope you were blessed by reading this, God works miracles and wonders in lives and it would be even more of a blessing for you to be part of his WONDERFUL works ! I would encourage you to make yourself available to the next FOL, which will be in the late months of 2014 (DW I got you ! I will keep you informed closer to time).

Hope you continue to enjoy your Easter Weekend and next post will be out tomorrow, EASTER SUNDAY .. TURN UP !

May your Cup continue to Run over
God Bless my lovely's !

A forced relationship with Christ ? Part 2 (a)

Hello again my friends. Well internet* friends. You are my friend right ? Anywhoooo Heres a forced relationship with Christ Part 2 ! In which I will try and give some advice on overcoming your forced relationship. Sorry the post is so late, revision for exams is extremely time consuming but I am definitely going to try and balance it out better along with other duties. My blog being one of them ! I am going to be posting 2 more parts about overcoming your "forced" relationship with Christ.   And I will be touching on 3 MAJOR TOPICS throughout the remaining posts including this one , so be up to date !

  • What it means to know Christ.
  • How to try and live by the scriptures accordingly
  • And How to enjoy being a Christian ! Its honestly not that bad ...

*Exciting theme music* *sairaswhat ? sairassecret. sairaswhat ? sairassecretttttttttt.*
Here we go :)

What it means to know Christ.

To know Christ is to know the TRUTH.
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; (Philippians 3:10)

To me personally, I don't see Christianity as a religion, many people will read that and be like "whattt is this gurllll on about ? Pshh , I'm exiting off this page. Saira who ? I dont think so" Lool whilst others will continue to read on about why I say this.
Christianity is about a relationship with a person. Guess who that person is ? Oh come on. Yeahh, Jesus Christ ! did you guess right ? (my jokes are dead, dont mind me)
Faith the size of a mustard seed, will allow to know Jesus and I can promise you, the second your faith grows, the BIGGEST transformation in your life will take place. So BIG, your love for Christ will just continue to blossom just like that of a flower.

Many people would say they "know of Christ" "they know his name" "they know why people talk about him" But the Major Question is .. Do YOU know him. Do YOU know why he died for our sins ? and resurrected on the third day. Do YOU  know why he is called the son of God ? Do YOU know why he is the only begotten son ? (This is the part where you clock on about the "YOU" in bold ... come on, KEEP UP ! )

Isaiah 9 : 6 - For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - NIV

To know Christ is to know about life. Not knowing Christ and forcing the relationship can somehow feel like driving a car randomly on a motorway and not knowing where your final destination will be. You as the individual are responsible for your relationship with Christ, just as you are responsible for driving the car. And it's not until you UNDERSTAND who is he, as an individual  and not through what you've grown up just "knowing or being taught" or by what people have just told you about him. Until YOU take that leap of faith to know him, alone. Then feeling like you're having a "forced relationship with Christ" could be a feeling that can come up more often than you anticipated.  There's no point being a Christian and not knowing the prime purpose and platform for which Christianity stands on. The Platform being JESUS. He is our stepping stone, our all in all, and also our guider. Through him we are made whole. He sacrificed his blood and body on calvary so that we will not have to live in fear and that we would not be condemned of sin again ! Isn't our Lord Jesus Christ amazing ?

Know what you're getting into as a Christian. Many people don't actually know about Christ as much as they should, and that is why they feel like they're having a "forced relationship with him". You can overcome that by reading the scriptures, googleing (i think is a word lol) about him , even watch youtube videos ! (Thank God for technology). There's so many resources around you that can help you understand, know and feel Christ for yourself. People may laugh at you on your journey, think you're turning cuckoo, and may even discourage you. But once you have Christ, that is all you will need to survive this world.

Proverbs 8 :35 - 36 - For those who find me find life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
How exciting does that sound ? Blessings upon Blessing. Testimonies upon Testimonies.

I really hope Part 2(a) helped somebody. Even if it only touches one person, I will be over the moon, Saturn and Mercury ! When I feel like no-one is around me, who I can talk to or who I can just vent to. A small leap of faith in my heart enables me to just talk and talk and talk and I honestly feel like Jesus is listening. On top of him being my Saviour, he is also my Counselor and most especially my friend.
Knowing Christ is one of the greatest things that ever happened to me, and its through knowing him i am able to share my experiences with you ! I really hope you were touched by this post and if you are in the boat of having a forced relationship with Christ. Take that LEAP OF FAITH, Get to know him ! And see what Jesus can do for you.

Thankyou so much for reading my lovely sairassecretfriends. Like i said. WE ARE NOW FRIENDS. Don't deny it. I know where you sleep ^_^
Lool, Part 2B, which will be on how to live by the scriptures accordingly and how to enjoy being a Christian, its actually pretty fun Lool. Those will be out next week by the Grace of God and once again thank you for reading.

Have a blessed week

A forced relationship with Christ ? Part 1

Hey ya'llllllll, how you been doinggg homies? ... A bit too forced ? Figured. Just trying to be friendly here, gosh.
Have you ever felt like you're just FORCING a relationship that ... just isn't "there" or how strong you would like it to be ? Well that's what Saira is going to be touching upon today. (Saira being me of course)
Please also bare in mind that I'm talking about Christ from my religious pov, and this can still be applied to other religions, just with a switch of names. My blog is open to all :)

Being a Christian is a tough journey, the second you understand what it means to commit your life to God, and to act accordingly to the scriptures, you can sometimes be taken back by what is expected of you and how you should live your life in order to make heaven. I was born into a Christian home, although the majority of my family is predominantly Muslim. Being born into a Christian home has its good points and its bad points. By being born into a Christian home, I liked the fact that I had morals to live by, and felt like the bible had a huge impact on my life and daily decisions, in helping me to depict between good and wrong. But, as I grew older I felt that life was just a constant routine and began to question my faith.
EVERY Sunday ... Church.
EVERY first on the month, Special Solution Hour.
EVERY last Friday of the month, Night Vigil.
and so and so on.
It also didn't help that my mum was a minister in Church, so I always felt like Christianity was just a routine. Dont get me wrong, I loved the vibe that Pentecostal Churches had, the music, the prayer, the songs. etc.
But I never understood what was SOOOO special about Christ. Yes I was brought up in a Christian home, but I never understood the big deal about God and what it actually meant to be a "Christian".

As I grew older, I questioned more and more, and was so overwhelmed witnessing the love and joy that people had for Christ in my church. People would be in tears crying as they felt the presence of the Lord. People would speak in tongues, people would faint. Many people see these things in churches as a joke and would say it is all an "act". But for me personally, I wanted to feel the same way they did, I wanted to come to church with a smile on my face EVERY Sunday, and not think of it as a routine to sing. then pray. then this, then that. I wanted to stop having a "forced relationship with Christ" .
I felt like I was forcing the "eyes being closed" in praise and worship.
I was forcing the "5 minute prayer sessions" when 2 mins into it, I had run out of things to say and pray about.
And most importantly I was forcing the "love I had for Christ". It's not that I didn't love him, but I didn't feel what others felt in his presence. I just felt like I was in a Church, doing my daily Sunday routine, and not developing the relationship with Christ that I wanted.
Many people today felt/feel this way when it comes to loving Christ, I know I'm not the only one. So stay tuned for Part 2 , in which I hope and aim to help you OVERCOME your "forced relationship with Christ".
Bare in mind, these will be just tips I will give, Lool, im not a professional advice giver, just a girl, with a laptop and a mind.
Remember that being religious is a gift, and knowing Christ is more than a present. Don't feel like you HAVE to do xyz because it says so or you've been taught to.
Understand why xyz is necessary, so stay tuned and I hope to see you in my next post.

God is Love
Rev Run.
Lool, sorry , I've just always wanted to say that ^.^
Let me do it my way.

PEACEEEEEEEEEE OUTTTTT YA'LLLLLL AND TURN UPPPP ! *SAIRA OVER AND OUT* *ENTERS SPACESHIP*
p.s. if you have any topics you would like me to discuss fell free to email me at sarah.oladokun@hotmail.co.uk. (I KNOW. Such a Nigerian surname, blame my dad.)
I'll try and get them done as soon as possible :)
see you soon my internet friends.
Still a bit forced ? I'll stop ^.^

20/01/2014 - Lust

Set paces from my foot
Watching the couple escape from sacred ground
I gaze into such daring eyes
Wasn't even the launch of something pleasant
Our wasted months falling for temptations of others
And our hearts were set in lust and regret
My feelings for him escalated as we conferred about his broken heart,
With a third figure
We created a relationship
Through the bounds of discussion and discrete friendship
I felt like the counsellor
And the manipulated associate
As time progressed, the short term of lust died
Then rose again for a forth figure
The relationship was subtle, confusing
and a failure.
Square 1 at the heart of misery and disposition
My soul felt re-claimed and my legs felt free
Instead of chained like a captive
A prisoner of my past relationship
He returned to my heart with sweet words
and a glorious smile, with which the angels would bow down to
All burdens aside
All flaws on the floor
Me and him together at once
When our bodies touched
I instantly imagined us disrobed and exposed
Enjoying intimacy, which is wrong
Yet felt so right.
As our naked eyes observe each other
Words that brush against my tongue
Are that we are two souls
lost in the eyes of lust.

2014 - Beginnings

2014 - Beginnings

Well, It isn't really the 1st of January, but its never too late to say happy new year (I think).
Welcome to SAIRASSECRET. Its not really a secret if the whole world can see this .. But I thought it had a catchy ring to it, dont you think ? No ? Oh Alright ...

This blog is going to be the start of something new. I started this blog in 2013, and just became lazy in posting. Over my period of "lazyness" I wrote over 100 poems that wasn't being posted anywhere ! It's important to be able to express yourself as much as possible and I wasn't doing that at all. So i decided to woman up and start again with the promise of being committed. And that's exactly what I plan on doing.
What to expect ? everything and anything, from thoughts and poems, to religion to saira mumbo jumbo and my personality sprinkled on top. Best thing of all ... ITS FREE ! So you have no excuses not to stay tuned ^.^

So ... I think that's it for now. Once again, thanks for being a part of my blog and STAY TUNED for many more things to come.

Saira, over and out. Ribbit.
